Oh yeah! Confucius was right, and I have
infused this belief into my bloodstream and my entire being! Trust me, there’s
nothing as good as doing what you love! From the days of practically ‘pasting’
white powder on my face as a child, and looking like what children of my days
call ‘ojuju Calabar’ (I wonder what brought about that terminology? LOL!); to
my secondary school days where you see babes lining their lips with BLACK eye pencils and rubbing Vaseline
on our eyelids for it to shine! (Seriously, let me know if you did this!
Hahahahahaha!) We really thought we were hot and sexy oh!!!!
I also remember taking pictures with
manual cameras and looking for where to print them, and of course we always
asked for the negatives so that no one would steal our pictures!!!! I confess
that I looked for every opportunity to throw a party or ‘small get-together’
(which never turned out to be small!)…… Whew! There’s a lot to write about and
reminisce about the good old days. Nevertheless, going back to our inspiring
quote by Confucius; the love for makeup, photography, and planning of events
which were, and are still fun stuff for me, have given birth to GRAZELLE MAKEOVERS!
